Help with direction on block wall.

Looking for some suggestions on how to proceed with my block wall. After obtaining a copy of the death cert from New York City, I know the following: Pauline Samuel born about Oct 1832, died 4 Mar 1877, immigrated about 1852, guessing married George Nestle before 1863 in New York City, per 1870 census, born in Wurttemberg, Germany. Unfortunately, death certificate does not have any info regarding parents. Did find emigration index in Württemberg Germany with the district of Oberndorf and the number 838635. What does this mean and how can I obtain copy of document or additional info? Additionally, unable to locate marriage cert for Pauline and George, or church records for Pauline. Suggestions?

There are 5 towns called Oberndorf in Meyers gazetteer. You will need to look for Pauline's birth record (most likely in church baptismal records) in each.

Go to https://www.meyersgaz.org, search for "Oberndorf" then look at each of the 5 for the locality of the nearest church for each. Next, look in the FamilySearch catalog for the towns containing those churches and see if there are church records available. If you know Pauline's religion it will help.
