I've added a family member to my tree. It should have been added as my fathers Uncle (my grandfathers brother), instead it added it as my fathers brother (instead of uncle). How do i remove the attachment in order to put it in the correct place?

Against the misplaced name, click on the pencil icon. Then (in the "Child" section) click on "Remove or Replace". Next, check the box against "I have reviewed the relationships, sources, and notes for these individuals". You will then have the option of simply removing him from the incorrect relationship or (if you have the correct ID reference available) of (re)placing him directly under the correct parent(s).
