Muurmester ??

On the census of my ancestor it states that his occupation was a Murrmester, which I translated to be a wall master. Can anyone explain what a wall master did?

  Bricklayer. Murer=mason, Mester = master (trade) https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Denmark_Occupations#M
