Hello -- Is there anyone available who can please help me translate a small portion of this German birth record from 1824? If so, I'm looking at the record on the bottom left side dated 24 Oct and 31 Oct. Please translate the page title and the information for this child, last name Brey. (I think perhaps the birth was 27 Oct and the baptism was

31 Oct.) Thank you so much!

    Hello @JulieHausmann,

The link you provided is not viewable because of a problem with the new community platform. But you provided enough information in your question that I believe I found the record on Ancestry.

If your record is from Belitz in Mecklenburg-Schwerin, here is the translation:

Heading at the top of the page: "Geborne und Getaufte im Jahr 1824" = Born and Baptized in the Year 1824.

Record at the bottom of the left-hand page:

    Born: 27 October 1824.

    Baptized: 31 October 1824.

Father: tailor Christian Brey in Klein Bützin.

    Mother: Maria Lüth.

    Child: Ludwig Johann Joachim.

    Baptismal witnesses:

    (1) Ludwig Gimm.

    (2) Johann Friedrich Zarend.

    (3) Joachim Sternberg.

Comment: Notice that the child takes the three first names of the baptismal sponsors.
