I would appreciate if someone could help me find a Death Source for my Great Grandfather.

My great grandfather passed away some time in 1941. His name is Anton Rott, the 4th name on the top page of this source. Anton passed away in former Eger, Sudetenland. He served in the Austro Hungarian Military and I just recently obtained those sources. I found the attached source on Porta Fontium. It indicates that it is in book 694 Karlovy Vary - registry office 42. Location: Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad, Thermae Carolinae). I find it frustrating to search in Porta Fontium because I do not read the language. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Usually, for records from years more recent, you would have to contact the archives. It is the right of privacy issue.

@Betseylee Browning  Karlovy Dvory is a different place than Karlovy Vary.

@Ramona Friesen on Porta fontium the index book you were looking at (Karlovy Vary - registry office 42) is for 1942. There were so many death registered that there are two books for the 1942 entries. Since you want entry 694, you will need to look at the second one for 1942 (Karlovy Vary -Standesamt 40). In this book there are two entries per image. The number of the entry is located at the top left corner of each page. Porta fontium records
