Please explain/expand on what you mean by ... auto complete in records search

Are you referring to the pre-population of the "Search" criteria?

When you select, 'FamilySearch', for example.

Those pre-populated fields, CAN be easily "Changed"; BEFORE, you select search.

Given names and surnames when searching, at one time they were automatically displayed as soon a you started typing. Now no matter what browser I uses they no longer auto complete.

hmmm I cant ever remember seeing an autocomplete option on FS Records.

many auto complete options are a function of the browser - and not programmed by FS.

    Russell

I just tried "Record Search" (in 'FamilySearch'), with 'FamilySearch'; and, OTHERS.

All WERE "Pre-Populated" with the individual's/person's details.

I usually use, 'Google' "Chrome", with 'Microsoft' "Windows 10" (latest versions)

I also tried with, 'Mozilla' "FireFox"; and, 'Microsoft' "Edge" = Same, Same.

Question: WHAT, "Browser" & "Operating System" are you using? Latest versions?

Any autopopulate would be based on your browser and any "addons" you have installed on your PC - and is not a function of FamilySearch itself - but of your specific browser as it is set up on yoru computer.

for most all of us - the auto complete is not soemthing we see working.

it is something installed on your PC that is doing the auto complete.
