Hi, I am new to this group and would like to introduce myself
I live in Belgium, Limburg, Kermt.. although my name implies somewhere else. Originally we are from PL, but after the war the polish borders have been adjusted and now my origin is Ukraine. This research is to difficult, so I decided to research my wife's ancestors.
I have been researching for many years the name Gaethofs, or similar, and all is published at https://familytrees.genopro.com/Przytula/Gaethofs/default.htm I try to publish the info, so that when I leave this place, some people can still benefit from my research.. I collect all persons info with the same name, and try to find a link with the existing tree.
All info/help is welcome.. as parish records, sometimes are not so easy to read...and my knowledge of latin is limited

Welcome, Guy, I'm from Belgium myself/Flanders so you can also use Dutch
when you have missing terms.But might i ask, are you Polish by nationality or
Ukrainan?, do you master both languages?..always nice to know these things.
I could not open your webpage , unfortunately, as it contains a lot of HTML 5 coded frames.I tend to keep all HTML 5 disabled on my computer,as many advertising in newspapers online uses the HTML 5 applets in an abusive way.
So i will keep it disabled.
Hm , Ukraine/Poland,the problem you mention is well known,but some of the experts in the German chatbox here have a very good knowledge in these area's.Before ww1 and in the interbellum many German groups of emigrants went to Russia, Poland and Ukraine.
