How do I find perish records for the towns Rosenberg, aka Ružomberok,Slovakia, and Vrsac, aka Wersc
Ružomberok,Slovakia, and Vrsac, aka Werschetz, Serbia?
I am trying to locate my grandmother's birth records or christening records in the hope that I can find further information regarding her parents, Franz Emmerich Fuger born 1885 and Julianna Skole born 1889, and ultimately move back on these family lines. I have documents that state that my Oma, Anna Fuger born Feb. 18, 1911, lived in Vrsac, Serbia but she always told me that she was born in Rosenberg. I recently came in contact with her niece who lives in Munich. This niece confirmed that my Oma was indeed born in Rosenberg during the time of Austro-Hungarian Empire, moved to Vsac, Serbia at some point in time and ultimately settled in the small town of Harrland, Austria (near Vianna) during WWII, but that was all the information she had. It is a blessing to have made contact with my Oma's niece, Father and Uncle are now deceased. I am trying to do what I can with the bit of information that my grandmother's niece has provided but I have really struggled to move back on my Grandmothers family lines. I have searched family tree, google, and wiki. Unfortunately much of the info. that was entered into family search is inaccurate because it was entered based on hearsay by another family member who was equally confused by the conflicting information we have received up to this point. As far as I know my grandmother and her two sons are the only members of her family who have immigrated to the US. Therefore old US census records have not been helpful. Also, I have discovered that locating records for German settlers, Volkswerker, who lived in these regions during the WWI and WWII time periods is not easy. Any help that could be provided to aid me in my search would be deeply appreciated. @Russian Empire Genealogy Research
