Japanese Archives - Yutaka Sawada

Hello all, 

I'm looking for my Japanese ancestors but, unfortunately, I do not speak Japanese. Does anyone have experience with Japanese archives and/or authorities? I'm looking for the parents of Yutaka Sawada (b 1886, Yokohama-Japan; d 1957, Göttingen-Germany). Whilst I know quite a lot about Yutaka's history once he left Japan as a boy, I know nothing about his parents apart from that his father was Tomokichi Sawada, who may have been a physician? in Yokohama.

Is there possibly a website with a register of births, marriages and deaths in Yokohama?

I've hit a brick wall and any help would be very much appreciated!
