Unfortunately we do not have a group for Laos, Thailand, or the Philippines yet. We are always looking for people that can help with new groups. Do you know anyone that might be interested in being a group leader?

@吳志宏 LENA STOUT do you know anyone that can read Laotian?

Unfortunately I don't know anybody read Laotian. I suggest Adria search "Africa, Asia, & Pacific Genealogy Research Community" in the Facebook - I know there are some native Southern Asians may be able to help.

The speech of Laos language is nearly Thai language, but writing is somewhat different.

I wish we had someone that could help us with translations for these languages. Does anyone know a friend that might be able to help?

I know this is an old post, and I hope that Anupong was able to help the person making the original post. At any rate, we now have a team of volunteers in Thailand that may be available to help with Thai research questions. They can be contacted via thailandsupport@familysearch.org. Alternatively, the Salt Lake FamilySearch Library now offers free 20-minute family history consultations with a volunteer (me) who does read both Thai AND Lao. Anyone can make an appointment via https://go.oncehub.com/ResearchStrategySession
