Can someone please help me to identify what this document means (in Danish)? This comes from the Nygaards Sedler. I believe it applies to my ancestor Henrich Nicolai Klat L7S3-5XR

This is new to me, but this website may be helpful. https://www.kottalgenealogy.com/blog/nygaards-index-cards-biographical-information-about-inhabitants-of-jutland/

Thanks Shari, this is a new database to me also. I read the article and now I understand better what the database is. I don't know how to interpret what the index on the card means, though.

I've asked an experienced friend to help out, maybe he'll answer this evening or tomorrow? I'm very interested in this subject so thanks for asking.

My friend asked if this person was a soldier? He struggled reading it. He said Jy.Reg could mean Jydske regiment.

I see the date 1790 on the record you are asking about and wonder how it connects to your Henrich Nicolai Jensen b. 1861. I didn't see the name Kladt in the FamilySearch record, sorry am I confused?

Here is a man whose life falls in the time period of 1790. H.N. Kladt b. about 1756. The record could involve something military when he is 34 yrs. old or becoming a Danish citizen?Clipboard01

Yes he was a soldier. It says so on his marriage record and in the census

So, we are back to your original question. Sorry I have no answer but others will likely review and give information. @Tanner Blair Tolman

Here's his marriage record, it lists him in the military:

I'm interested in knowing what the index refers to. I know nothing about this man before his parents or where he was from originally. I haven't found others with the same surname in the area so I've wondered if he came from somewhere else? Or changed his surname?

So I'm confused in locating this document. The index says 1790 21/5 and also Jy Reg 46.126 and also had a number 235. Where would I find this document exactly? I'm not seeing anything from 1790 or any volume 46? Probably I'm not understanding what the index says.

A friend helped me find this and said: You'll find it here, the right lower page at the bottom (there are 4 pages in the opslag) The original letter for no. 237 can't be seen, but apart from the name it says practically the same as the letter No. 234, the last one at the lower left page https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=19985220&fbclid=IwAR2FxUI4c4wQKCyI06NHcIJn_vagv0Evzv8OadcgD44f_LB4lcxruI66nvs#332681,66976375
