Can you read what this birth record says?

I'm trying to confirm what this birth record says. I believe it is Abraham Jonsson KZZP-QJ9 (parent is Jan/Johan Martensson) of Gallasen. The image and cursive is hard to see. The household records of the family show that Abraham was born in December of 1743. I believe the birth is on Dec. 11. What's interesting is that it doesn't list the wife in this record just the father. Does that mean anything? https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0012670_00059#?c=&m=&s=&cv=58&xywh=3046%2C808%2C2817%2C1881

I would also like to get the same information on Chjerstin Jonsdtr KHW8-V2Q who was born on Sept. 26, 1741. I can see the father Jan Martensson, but I am not sure if the rest mentions the mother (wife) or another woman. Thoughts?

It was common in that time period (ie. early 18th century and earlier) for a birth record to only mention the father. Some other women are named in both of these records, but none of them are the mother. They are witnesses or godparents. Sorry!

Thank you. I thought that was the case, but wanted to make sure.

To add to Norm's note, the mother s weren't allowed back in the parish until about 6 weeks after the birth as they were considered "unclean" but the baby needed to be christened before that. To find the mother you would need to find a marriage record or the mother being "reintroduced back to the parish." But the witnesses could be family members so if you keep track of the witnesses and who carried (held) the baby for each of the children and where they are from, you may be able to find extended family.

This is helpful. Thank you. I've been able to find the household records and am backtracking to find birth records, etc. Thanks!
