Does this cross next to this birth record for Maria Magdalena on May 9Screen Shot 2019-09-10 at 3.07.38 PM mean that she died as an infant? ( also viewable here: http://www.digiarkisto.org/sshy/kirjat/Kirkonkirjat/kemi/syntyneet_1788-1824_msrk_ik275/186.htm) And is it possible that if she died as an infant she would not be included on the communion record? I think she is a sibling in the Hans and Malin family, but she is not on the communion record here (http://www.digiarkisto.org/sshy/kirjat/Kirkonkirjat/kemi/rippikirja_1820-1826_msrk_ik272/30.htm)

Thanks for you help!

Yes, cross means that child died as an infant and if child died very young, it is possible that child was not marked into communion book. In this case Maria Magdalena died at 25.5.1823.

great! Thank you so much for you help! Can you tell me how you know that she died on 25.5.1823? I'd love to know so that I can find that information for other infants like this.
