Using the column entry and the zoom together

While indexing or reviewing - I have an instance where I am using the column entry (from the Data entry) in reviewing and would like to align my document so that it shows more distinctly beside the records I am indexing. For example: US, New York, Southern Tier—Index to Land Records, Grantors, 1630–1975 [Part A][MS8G-CZB]. I should be able to get my entry on the Record or volume entry (about the 9th entry line) and then align the document by using the zoom feature, so that the line of libre in the document shows up right next to the entry. I should then be able to review each of those lines very quickly. Since they put in the new tools adjust brightness (which is great), the feature of bringing the document as close to the entry lines has not been lining up very easily and I would like to have this feature brought back. Thank you. (This is for a patron).
