Account Setting missing one feature

Encountered a problem and I got phone calls from my friends and those I help about this problem.

Previous versions had "Save" button after changes are made.

The current version does not have it. This requires that we close the browser completely in order to save any setting we change in our account setting.

Please kindly restore the "Save" button to end the confusion and grief already caused others to be upset.

Huh? Did something not save for you? When I am in https://www.familysearch.org/profile/account , it has a save button for each edit modal box. and the others are immediate actions.

Hello wedsnuelsen, If you are still having the same problem with the "Save" button, you might think of deleting your cache on your browser.

The reason is that large websites such as FamilySearch generate a lot of little pieces of code that stick on the browser, called Cookies. If not deleted they can slow down your session on FamilySearch or drop off some parts of a page you are viewing.

Check this out "Short cuts for Cookies" https://bit.ly/2HaiJsi

    Enjoy

    .

    'Jordi' is CORRECT ...

    .

Nowadays, in one's "Settings", there is NO, "Save", 'Button' at the 'Bottom' of each page/screen, like there used to be.

    .

Those 'Parts' of "Settings" that HAVE that (ie. an) "Edit" function/facility/feature, DO have a "Save" option; as, a "Pop-Up" (ie. 'Modal') 'Window'.

    .

Whereas, the 'Parts' of the "Settings" that just have that (for want of a better word) "Switch", to 'toggle' the function/facility/feature, either, 'ON; or, 'OFF', DO NOT have a "Save" options; as, once you toggle the "Switch' you, either, turn that function/facility/feature 'ON; or, 'OFF' - as 'Jordi' indicates, ... an IMMEDIATE (ie. "Live") Action.

    .

Certainly, NOT like the OLD "Settings" ...

And, as usual, NOT a lot of information/advice/training, came with the "Change" ...

Unfortunately, 'New Age', Design and, Programming ...

    .

It just takes many of us time to get used to the 'NEW' way of doing things ...

    .

    Like it or not ...

    Lets not go there ...

    .

    And ...

    By the way ...

    .

The matter has NOTHING to do with the "Clearing" of one's, "Cookies"; "Cache"; and/or, "Download History" ...

    .

This is purely by "Design" ...

    .

I know that this does not help; but, I hope it gives you some perspective.

    .

    Brett
