Even though I have clicked on categories within the pro forma for posts, nothing is selected. A bug?

Worked out how to do this. You first have to click on a category, then you need to click on an arrow. Perhaps everyone else knows this, but why is one click not sufficient?

Maureen is correct, you have to click the arrow to move the categories you have selected to be part of the idea.

The method of adding categories is one that's used by some programs that programmers are likely much more familiar with than the average website user. It is highly unintuitive and confusing, and I hope the permanent replacement for GetSatisfaction will not use anything like it.

Maureen, that technique of setting attributes on something has been around for a while in many different computer applications. One of the things it is supposed to support is the ability to select multiple items and THEN transfer them all over (or remove them) with a single click. In larger lists where options can be combined, this is a useful mechanism in that you can easily see if you've made (or are about to make) mistakes.

It gives you the ability to not only see what you want the application to accept, it ALSO gives you the ability to see what the application is specifically rejecting.

However, I haven't actually checked it to see if that specific one works properly for multiple selections.

But you are correct in that if you are only making a single selection, the double click might be viewed as redundant.
