Status Stars on People I'm Watching List are Broken and the Changes Total is Missing

Jeff Wiseman said: I first login and go to my "People I'm Watching" list and it looks like this:

Note that there is no total shown for the Changes tab and all 778 Status stars are white.

I then click on the Action for Ada H Arbaugh and get this:

Notice that the Status star doesn't change but the action type DOES. What does the star mean? There are still 778 white Status Stars.

If I select the action again for Ada, I now get this:

The Status Start has now changed, but so has the Action type. I now have 778 minus 1 (i.e., 777) Status Stars that are white.

If I leave this tab or this page and go to do something elsewhere, when I come back to this page I usually discover that all of the other 777 white stars have now turned black for some reason.

This is a bug but it used to work correctly before some other things on the watch lists got "fixed" a little ways back.

Tom Huber said: There is a lot of inconsistency with behavior for the persons watched and Changes to People I'm Watching lists.

The number for Changes to People I'm watching remains blank until I select that list.

If I link directly to the Changes to People I'm watching, the screen remains blank until I refresh it and then the Changes appear. With the Changes first displayed, there is no number next to the People I'm watching until I select that list.

    Windows 10 with Chrome.

It continues to amaze me how so many things can break all at about the same time in the same area, and the software still "passes" system test.

Gordon Collett said: Random speculation: Is it possible that various things are breaking in the Watch List because of under the hood preparation for the switch to the new Following List that can be seen on the beta site? If so, these things could be being viewed as very temporary acceptable flaws that are being ignored in order to not take away time from getting the new version into production.

Jeff Wiseman said: That is certainly possible (I've not been on the Beta site for a while). But if that's the case, I'm certainly wasting my time checking these things out since FS has not indicated that they are ignoring all reports of trouble in that area due to their plans of replacing it completely.
