Events not chronological in new merge page

Stephanie Spencer Booth said: I just tried the new merge process for the first time. It's throwing me off that the surviving record has switched sides, but more than that, it's listing the death above the birth. Shouldn't the birth come first? Maybe this is just a glitch because this is all new.

    Jeff Wiseman said: Yes. For consistency everything should be in the same order that it appears on the person's detail page which everyone is totally familiar with. It's not good to constantly change things around when they don't need to be.

    However, I don't know what the reasoning here is (if there is any). Perhaps they are trying to put all data comparisons near the top of the page?
