On the FamilySearch Person Page, Family Members section, there are two Show All/Hide All toggle switches. On the left, under the heading Spouses and Children, the correct title would be Show All Children/Hide All Children. This toggle switch does not control in any way the showing of Spouses, all Spouses show all the time. On the right, under the heading Parents and Siblings the correct title would be Show All Siblings/Hide All Siblings. This toggle switch does not control in any way the showing of Parents, all Parent candidates show all the time.

I would say that both buttons could be labeled "show/hide all children", since that's what they do: control the display of the children in that column. However, I also think the current labels are perfectly fine: if someone is somewhat confused by them, clicking the buttons a few times will show what they do clearly enough, without any possibility of damage or data loss.

Keep in mind that all text such as your example has to be translated into 30 different languages and fit in the available space in all of them. This may be a case of a small amount of ambiguity vs a big design headache.
