Name field

I think it would be a good idea to remove the spot in the name field for "title". When you put in a title it shows up as part of the name. I think it would be a better idea to put it in the other information spot like an alternate name. George Washington's parents did not name him President or General - they named him George. I keep seeing people named Sargent, Reverend, Judge, etc. When you see that space, you think you need to put in the title and so you do. But, it really messes up names, especially when temple ordinances are done. Please remove it as an option when putting in a person's name.

I do not understand why the Title field data is printed in the Name Box on temple cards. Whatever is in the Title field is not part of the name and was never intended to be, otherwise it would have been entered in the Name field by the patron to start with.

I generally agree with this idea, but it would possibly create difficulties for those born with titles - say the nobility and royalty. However, I strongly dislike adding titles like Mr, Mrs, Captain or Reverend. The first two seem totally unnecessary and examples like the latter are (as suggested) only acquired much later in life.

I don't use Mr, Mrs, Ms etc. except when I don't have the rest of the name.

I do use Doctor, Sister, Private, etc. Those titles are earned; in the case of Private, often earned with the person's life.
