Restricted memories gremlin has returned
I uploaded 14 marriage records and death records today. 12 posted without an issue, but 2 of them were restricted. Same format, same source, even the same family surname.
Can we please retrain the AI?

I'll follow up on the two restricted images that shouldn't have been with the Memories team. We do have a process to provide the AI feedback for better accuracy in future reviews.

We are sorry you received the Restricted notice after uploading your records. From your comment, it sounds like you have experienced this problem before. If so, you know you will receive an email that you can reply directly to. A team will review your response and help resolve the issue.

With each restriction you should be getting a corresponding email
If you feel the restriction is in error - simply reply to the email with THREE words "Restricted in Error"
9 times out of 10 - just those three words will result in the item being un-restricted
I am personally interested in better understanding photos like the ones you report - and what specifically is triggering the restriction (it is done by a non human auto mated process) - if you dont mind me asking - Id be interested to receive a copy of the image if you don't mind sharing so I can analyze what in the image is triggering the restriction.
Contrary to the prior message you got - I do not believe that submitting a 2nd time - will result in a different outcome (since it is a computerized automated process analyzing the content of the image - and not a human being).
BUT replies to the restriction email - do go to a human being - which will normally end up in the item being released.

For MANY months, my uploads were restricted, without any email notification.
On this occasion, I received the email, and I responded asking for a review.
Since another mod had been kind enough to help on one of the MANY other times, and had asked me to post here if it happened again, I did so.
Just a few minutes ago, I received a reply from SLC confirming that the review showed there was no problem. Again.

Just another thought about working with images in Memories that have been restricted, because we know the initial review is an automated process, if you don't get an email you might try deleting the image completely from FamilySearch and then uploading it again to see if it is restricted the second time. While this takes a few minutes to do, I have done this and the second time I have not had it show as restricted and could move forward to tag and link it.
I currently prefer to upload using the Memories Gallery since an incomplete tag that covers the whole picture is always the result of uploading from a person's Memory page in the Family Tree program. Since I don't want to have to adjust the tag once it is created, it is so much easier to me to upload in Memories and then tag and link from the image viewer. I have noticed since I have been using this process, I have had fewer images marked as restricted. I don't know if this process change truly made a difference, but I thought I would mention it here for others to play with.

Hi! my name is Jonathan McDonald. I uploaded a Marriage . Rec. to my GGGGG uncle Eli McDonald LHPC-TQR . Document page. And it came up as "Restricted "! I got the Document from FamilySearch! And it is more then 100 years old! I belive that the "Restriction is in Error". Please Help. Thank You!

@JONATHANMCDONALD4 If you received an email with the message that your image was restricted, respond to the email, asking for a review.
The first review of uploads is made by a poorly-trained bot. If you reply to the email, the restriction is usually removed.
