I'm at a FHC and attempted to view a film that is restricted. It tells me that I need to be at a FHC. The URL is the same one I would have at home.
Since June there has been maintenance of the computer systems used by FHC. During that time there was no access to restricted films. In the past few days there have been reports that this maintenance has ended. You should talk to the FHC manager and suggest they contact FamilySearch for help to ensure that the FHC can have access to restricted films restored.
My dear Marie, we send you the following informative .-
" It is reported that the Family History departament, due to maintenance and updates of the Familysearch site, it is taking out of service as of June 3 , 2021, until further notice the access to Restristed Records from all over the world (including those of the Family History Center - FHC) , we apologize for any inconvenience .. If you need to access some type of collection during this time , you can make an appointment with the Family History Library of Salt Lake, they are the only ones who will continue to have access to these collections. "
We send you the link, to access that site and thus request an appointment online :
Hi there Marie
Please ensure that the person who runs the Family History center knows that they need to add an extension onto their Chrome Browser.
This is the new instructions:
FHC leaders need to make sure the computers are all updated, weekly.
