How to get an update on a case that used to be communicated via email.
Hi
I am trying to find out what has happened about a situation I first corresponded about 2019. I have a number of standard emails saying thank you for the updated information regarding this case, it has been forwarded to the relavant party etc.
I have not heard back anything since then.
The case number was Case 05818923 and later became Case 05818840
It concerns my grandmother in Law, Elizabeth Cunningham Harker Deans (LFJB-7FX).
After she had died, there were a number of duplicate versions of her in the family tree, as many of her descendants are members. Her Temple work got done by my Wife here in the NZ Temple (photo of
card attached as proof).
Not long after, another descendant, a cousin of my wife, partially active at the time logged onto familysearch, and made some changes, possibly another version of my wife's grandmother, and probably because of inexperience made a bit of a hash of it all. Ultimately the temple work somehow got deleted, I could not request it, as I was not a direct descendant, but my wife could, as a granddaughter. But why should we when the work was already done.
Somehow, it was figured out that the version of my grandmother in law with the correct Temple dates was somehow classed as still been alive, and we needed to provide a death certificate to make that version of her visible again.
I have not managed to get one yet, neither has one of my wife's aunts, who is a daughter to Elizabeth C H Deans.
Is it still required that we send for a copy of the death certificate?
It would seem odd that we have to provide proof, when my wife's cousin just typed in the death date of her version of her grandmother with no proof, and managed to somehow wipe out the already established version of my grandmother in Law.
Many thanks
Brian

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
As an aside ...
I think this might be pertinent ...
I have just attached a "Source" from "MyHeritage_com" referencing & confirming the "Death Registration" of:
Elizabeth Cunningham Harker DEANS ( LFJB-7FX )
As, under, the "Married" Name of Elizabeth Cunningham Harker GRANT.
And ...
Furthermore ...
Here is the "Death Registration"; as, in the 'Civil Registration' for "Death", of the 'General Registry Office' ( GRO ) of 'England and Wales':

I hope this helps, somewhat

Thank you Brett for all your work.
I already had this information, but as you implied, it may well be sufficient proof of death just having the reigstry entry.
I received the message also, so I will respond to that shortly.
I am intrigued as to how you might be related.
We are also now down under, but in NZ
