Are sealings done for Sir Alexander Jardine Born 1479 AFN 9MY6-P5H
Hi @ForbesMilton H.
We understand that you are interested in knowing if the SP ordinance has been completed for your ancestor, Sir Alexander Jardine 9MY6-P5H. That ID number is not from the Ancestral File, it is the current ID number for this person in the FamilySearch Family Tree.
We went to the Ordinance section for this record and see that the SP is currently not showing as completed. Because the Latest Changes on this record reflect that the record of the father has been merged several times since this record was moved to Family Tree, the ID for the father is not the same information that was moved to Family Tree from the Ancestral File. At the bottom of the Latest Changes, we see that the original father connected to Alexander was John Jardine LKW3-TYN. Perhaps if you restore that record and then merge the current GWYG-7YX record into that record, any ordinances that might have been completed may also be restored. Please remember that it can take up to 24-hours for information to move to the surviving record after a merge.
If that does not restore the SP ordinance, please reply to the personal message I will send you to try to resolve this concern. I will forward your concern to the specialty department that can search for a completed ordinance with just a little more information for you if you try restoring and re-merging the records leaving the original PID of the father as the surviving record.
