How do I find an unmarried surname for my great-grandmothers born in Belarus or the Ukraine?

I have a first name, an approximate year of birth, and a married surname for one great-grandmother. This great-grandmother immigrated from Russia to Montreal. That is all I know of her.

I have a married name and an approximate year of birth for the other grandmother. This grandmother remained in Russia.

I have exhausted all avenues I know to find them. Thank you for any help or direction you can provide.

Hello PHarris99, In case you havent already tried how about a marriage record . that usually shows the maiden name of a bride. I'm sorry if this is to basic an answer but sometimes its the simple things that works

No records available of any kind in the US, the UK, or Canada. Even the married surnames are bastardized versions of the real thing. Thanks for taking the time to answer. PH
