Army National Guard of Indiana records
Hi, Does anyone know how I can access my grandfathers Army National Guard records? He served in Indiana but I'm not sure of the dates, most likely between 1935 - 1945. His name was Jon Donel DeVan. I believe he went to the Philippines where he contracted malaria. He survived and passed away in 1970. I tried contacting the Indiana Guards directly (no response), checked Ancestry.com, and Fold3 but could not find any information. Attached is a picture of him in his uniform. Any additional information is greatly appreciated!

Hello KellyMcDonald89
Welcome to the FamilySearch community, and thank you for your question regarding your grandfather's Army National Guard records.
If you are not finding the Army National Guard records on FamilySearch they may not be here, yet. Why not go to the actual archive.
National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). They are the official repository for records of military personnel who have been discharged from the United States Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy or Coast Guard.
All prior service members and veterans can request copies of their military service records from the National Archives veteran service records office. For any adjustments to your record, you will also have to contact your state office and request adjustment to your record.
If you have been discharged from the National Guard, NGB Forms, to include NGB Forms 22, and 23, submit a Standard Form (SF) 180 to the state headquarters and respective branch you were discharged from or that you served in. States are required by law, to maintain these records for 99 years.

FYI
Further to the excellent information and resources that have already been proffered ...
As an aside ...
Can I humbly suggest, that you might also consider, REPOSTING, this post of yours, in one or more of the 'Groups', in the "Groups" Section; where, the members of those 'Groups', may be able to help/assist you; and, of course, are only too will to do so. Plus, there are often "Resources", in the 'Groups', some; being, 'Links' to 'On-Line' Websites.
Please be advised, that you will need to "Join" a 'Group' to post in a 'Group'.
One of the 'Groups' that I would humbly recommend would be:
"Groups" Section
Home > Groups > Military Records
Military Records
Description: Collaborate with others in searching military records in the United States and elsewhere.

Good Luck.
I hope this may also help, somewhat.
