In preparation for a family reunion, I have added into FamilySearch a lot of living people and now have 6 generations of descendants from my Great grandparents. How do I print a 6 Generation descendents chart?

Hi @Aaron Clark Scott. Family Tree is designed to print the Landscape View, the Fan Chart View, and the Portrait View, however, there is no link to be able to print the Descendency View when you click Options in the right corner of this pedigree view.

Please review the following knowledge article which describes how the system is designed to print the Pedigree Views.

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-can-i-print-fan-charts-and-pedigree-charts-in-family-tree

If you wish to print each family you have added using the Descendency view, please consider opening each family and then using your browser's print option to print a page for each family represented.

Because all living people are added to your Private Spaces, please be aware that if others go to their account to see what you wish to share, they will not see records you have created for the living. This additional article from our Help Center explains how Family Tree is designed to protect the privacy of living people.

We appreciate your desire to print your pedigree. While there is limited printing available through Family Tree, there are several third-party programs that allow other print options, and many of these products are compatible with Family Tree. To learn about these programs to see if one might be helpful please visit the Solutions Gallery. The link to the Solutions Gallery is found at the bottom of the FamilySearch pages. Choose the Charts category to learn more about products that might help you achieve your printing goals.

Best wishes as you prepare for your family reunion.

As I responded in a recent post of yours:

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

As it is, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', is not; and, never was, even 'Designed' with, proper/significant "Printing" capabilities, which are very limited.

"Printing" is limited to the printing of:

▬ a "Family Group Sheet" for an individual/person; and,

    ▬ a x4 Generation, "Pedigree" Chart for an individual/person.

    That is basically it.

    But ...

    That Said ...

    Do not disappear ...

    There is an alternative ...

The best option for such in your "Ancestral" lines in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', is to use one of the "Third Party" Applications [ being of either, the "Family Tree Management" programmes; or, Charting (Printing) programmes ] that is "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.

The "Third Party" Applications that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' can be found in the "Solutions Gallery" of 'FamilySearch'.

Here is a direct link to the "Solutions Gallery" of 'FamilySearch':

    https://partners.familysearch.org/solutionsgallery/s/

And, here is the direct link to the "Family Tree Management" programmes, themselves:

    https://partners.familysearch.org/solutionsgallery/s/list?category=family_tree_management

And, here is the direct link to the "Charting (Printing)" programmes, themselves:

    https://partners.familysearch.org/solutionsgallery/s/list?category=charts

"Third Party" Applications that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' include, BOTH, 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"; or "MyHeritage_com"; or, the like); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes ("Ancestral Quest"; or, the like).

Some of the "Third Party" Applications that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' have, BOTH, a Basic FREE version; and/or, a Premium PIAD (ie. "Subscription") version, the latter just having more 'Bells and Whistles'. The Basic FREE version is sufficient for most, the average, User/Patron. Whereas, the Premium PAID (ie. "Subscription") version is the choice of most experienced and 'power' Users/Patrons.

You can use ONE or MORE than one, of the the "Third Party" Applications, the choice is yours.

Most of the "Third Party" Applications that are "Certified" to work with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' that are "Family Tree Management programmes, have INTERFACES that work/connect (directly) with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' that can, "Download"; and, "Upload" (ie. "Transfer) between the "Third Party" Application and "Family Tree".

I know that this might not help; but, I hope that this gives you some perspective; and, another avenue to explore.

    Brett
