Why did the completed ordinances get changed to a single list?

It is so hard now to verify that the work completed in the temple was done.
You don't receive the card back, so I know many who do two copies of the cards to verify later on if it has been done.
Now the new ordinances and in a non-friendly printout! There's so much waste, it is not a printer friendly- perhaps the cards could be reprinted with the completed ordinances, as a temple card to go into my notebook of remembrance..
Perhaps most people do only one ordinance when they go to the temple, but being 2 hours away, my son and I average near 100 ordinances a day!
Now that they are in a list with the older days of temple ordinances, we have printed, more paper! to verify that 1 a card got recorded, that 2 a card wasn't stuck to another and 3 not completed, or just one of the other many reasons a card was not verified in the computer.
This last Friday, a member lost her baptism cards. She has no way to know which cards were completed or still needing ordinances except to go through each person's record! This is a waste of time and resources.
If someone has a reasonable suggestion I would love it!
I have talked to people from Manti, Boston, Hartford and two other temple districts so far. I thought it might be a "non- Utah" problem, but perhaps I am not the only one who takes over 100 prepared cards to the temple for scheduled time.
Thank you for your suggestions.

Hello @LaurieJCBHendrix,
Thank you for your comments about printing duplicate temple cards to keep track of the temple work you have completed.
One thing that may help a little is the way you can view the Completed List. When you click on Temple and then Complete, you will see the word "Options" in a box to the right. If you click on Group by ID, you will see each person with a listing of all the completed ordinances for him/her.
Here is a link to some more information about this for you:
Best Wishes!

This didn't help at all. I did that before commenting. First, I usually do about 200 ordinances each month, and I travel to use my time as efficiently as possible.
I needed to print out those ordinances completed on Friday August 6th. I went to Boston and Hartford temples and have 19 PAGES of completed ordinances that I did in sealings. Another sister just printed out 9 PAGES of just her baptism/confirmation ordinances completed that same day.
It was so much easier to see the listing via an email when they were scanned, since they were grouped together and you could link to their ancestor's page.
This new way generates too many pages, and isn't an easy way to place them into the book of remembrance notebook that we use. (I have over 4000 completed cards from the last five years.)
This new completed ordinances list is not easier, since you cannot sort it via date, temple, name, or ordinances completed, or with all those selected.
I would suggest something like this, OR return to the email of completed ordinances once they are scanned.
It also doesn't help when you share a name with a friend to do and you need to keep a file of the work they were given to do.
I hope this helps.

The Family Tree App completed ordinances list does allow users to filter completed ordinances by name.

I entered a question in Community and received notification that my question was forwarded to a Temple group for answer. How will I be contacted with the answer? Thank you.

I really would like a list that was completed on a certain date, so I could group them together.
I have tried to do the individual name with their completed ordinances, but when you bring over 30 to the temple, it gets burdensome.
Thanks for the comments, unfortunately, it doesn't assist me in my journal of completed ordinances of my ancestors. (The cards, in alphabetical order, would be at least 10 inches high before they go into a notebook as the person's work and any experiences felt are recorded.)

I agree with LaurieJCBHendrix's comments and concerns.
Unfortunately, the Familysearch team keeps changing formats and notifications. In many cases it seems the changes make it harder to do work or to track progress. It is extremely difficult to track work now that temple cards are not returned and the online tools are no longer designed for users with more than a handful of names.

You will hear back from the group whose opportunity it is to evaluate and respond to you using the email you have associated with your FamilySearch account. We do not know how long it will take nor what they will say, but they will reach out to you as soon as hey are able.
We hope this helps.

I need to add another comment-
Now that I have attended the temple at least four times in August, the beginning date of August 6th is not in the records of completed ordinances because the list is over 20 pages long!
Once you have completed and filled the quota of # of ordinances completed, the computer truncates the oldest records... UGH!
This is not patron friendly at all.
Note we bring at least 50 ordinances on each day of a two day trip.
Thank you.

The completed ordinances list shows the last 2 years or 3,000 names
You also have the option to save a pdf file or print any or all of your completed ordinances

I agree that reinstating the previous Notifcation method of showing us ordinances completed would be very helpful in organizing our data. The new Completions area is okay - and even better if we could print our next ordinance from there - but the old method of a single line of information can be copied and brought into an Excel file. From that Excel file I can mark when a card is reprinted along with other data that I need.
