How do I do Temple work for a person who has an orange icon?
This is my father, Donald C. Smith, born 14 May 1923, died 10 Dec 1989. His PID is GHGK-C8V.
How do I get permission to do his baptism? I am a new member and I am scheduled to do baptisms for the first time on August 20.

Make sure that you add more information for him, such as spouse, children. The ordinances aren't showing since he is not connected to anyone.

I am the living child. My mother is also there, listed as living. Why would this stop me from baptizing him? I have an appointment on Friday and would very much like to be baptized for him!

I have now added the birth and death dates for my mother. Her work was available to be reserved immediately, but my father still shows orange. Can you please help me?
