Edith M. Turner, L17L-J47 SP is Reserved by FamilySearch as of 2009. Can I complete it?
Back in Dec of 2018 I submitted the E and SP ordinances for this individual and shared them with the temple. Today I found a note in my temple reservation list that states: "This person has been merged with another person. This reservation is no longer active." I looked at her history and the only merge that happened was in Dec of 2018 when I made the merge. It looks like the E has now been completed, but the SP, which I reserved and shared with the temple shows that it was reserved by FamilySearch back in 2009. I am unable to request it, but would love to complete that ordinance. Is there somehow I can get it in my reservation list? The icon in my Temple reservation lists shows it as being printed by the temple, but I don't know that is correct with a 2009 date like it shows.

Hi Sandy.
Even though the SP For Edith M. Turner L17L-J47 was assigned to the Temple in 2009, the ordinance was not actually printed until 25 Feb 2020. If the ordinance would be now released for you to do, that SP ordinance would be done twice. Once an ordinance has been printed, it cannot be recalled

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
QUERY ...
In "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' ...
We CANNOT 'see' what you indicate, that the 'SP' "... ordinance was not actually printed until 25 Feb 2020 ...".
There is NO indication that the "Ordinance" of 'SP' has, in fact, even been "Printed" by a "Temple".
Now, you may have access to the actual "Temple" Database; but, we do not.
All that we 'see' is that the "Ordinance" of 'SP' was "Reserved" (and, "Share[d] with the Temple System'), by 'FamilySearch', way back on 19 August 2009 -some x12 YEARS ago.
And, as far as we can 'see', is that the "Work", that is 'Dated' the "25 February 2020", is the Ordinance of "E", that WAS "Completed", at a "Temple" - nothing to DO with the Ordinance of 'SP'.
The reason I even 'Query' this matter, is twofold:
[ 1 ]
I recently (ie. BEFORE the INCLUSION of 'FamilySearch' "Support" into this Forum = the OLD Case System) helped a friend, with the EXACTLY the SAME problem/issue, with the EXACTLY the SAME Year ( ie. 2009 ); and, possibly even the exact same 'Date'; but, as, we can no longer 'see' our OLD "Support" Cases, I cannot confirm that.
We INITIALLY, got the usual, NO CAN DO, like you have indicated; but, there was NO indication, that a "Temple", had "Printed" a "Card", on a particular 'Date'.
We subsequently, FORCED the problem/issue, to be ESCALATED, up the line, to the "Department" who "Reviewed" such matters.
The "Reservation", by 'FamilySearch', was IMMEDIATELY "Released", to enable my friend to "Reserve" such.
[ 2 ]
Plus, there was another post, with the EXACTLY the SAME problem/issue, with the EXACTLY the SAME Year ( ie. 2009 ), just a few Weeks ago, in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
Where, the poster, got the usual, NO CAN DO, like you have indicated; but, again, there was NO indication, that a "Temple", had "Printed" a "Card", on a particular 'Date'.
In that post, like I am doing now, I 'Commented', about my 'friend's' situation/circumstances; and, the matter was, SUBSEQUENTLY, "Taken Into" the INNER Workings of 'FamilySearch' "Support"; and, ESCALATED, up the line, to the "Department" who "Reviewed" such matters.
And ...
IF, I recall; THEN, that "Reservation", by 'FamilySearch', was also IMMEDIATELY "Released", to enable the poster to "Reserve" such.
Now ...
That Said ...
IF, the actual "Temple" Database, which we cannot 'see', indicates that that 'SP' HAS, in fact, been "Printed"; THEN, such is the case, NO CAN DO.
Whereas ...
Due to the aforementioned, I would suggest that this particular case, MAY need ESCALATION, up the line, to the "Department" who "Reviewed" such matters. In the hope that the "Reservation", by 'FamilySearch', CAN be IMMEDIATELY "Released", if needs be.
Humbly submitted for your, information; attention; and, consideration.

FYI
'Thank You'.
I stand "Corrected".
That MUST be NEW ...
I have NEVER 'seen', the likes of that before.
[ Maybe that was instituted, due to the likes of the Cases I referenced ]
[ And, there is NO 'Date' when that was actually, "Printed" ]
Regardless ...
Would not it be BETTER, for a "Descendant", of an individual/person, to be ALLOWED to do the "Work"?
[ As opposed to, just being done through "Temple" (File) ... ]
[ Anyway, I though "Temples" checked the 'Status' of the "Work" before putting the 'Slips" out for Patrons. ]
[ IF, that is done; THEN, that would STOP the "Duplication" of the Work ]
Again, I stand "Corrected".
