Meaning of one German Word
In my ggggrandfather’s death record in Graben it says he was a Geloeßter Bürger. Do you have any idea what the word modifying Bürger means? DeepL translator says Geloeßter means beloved. That seems unusual for a Pastor to write on a formal document. I don't find the word in the Ernest Thode's book. Ideas?

Never trust DeepL for translation of single words!
"My" DeepL says:
"geloeßter" (German) = "soldered" (English), "geloeßter Bürger" = "closed citizen"
"gelöster" (German) = "solved" (English), "gelöster Bürger" = "solved citizen"
None of this makes really sense. The only association I have is "gelöst = frei gemacht", in English "made free", so "gelöster Bürger" could mean "free citizen". But I never heard this combination of words in German and couldn't find any instance on the web either.
