I seem to be two different users in Community
When Community switched over to the new platform, it seems it created a duplicate user for me. The user name kori.robbins1.5579482079625415E12 seems to be in my old groups. The new user name Kori Robbins was not in any. Since the change to the new platform, I joined the RootsTech group and one other, but I'd like to have these two users (both of which are me) merged, if possible.

Hi @Kori Robbins - I've made the request to merge the two accounts. I'll circle back with an update soon.

Yes, it's a bit confusing, switching over to Community from FamilySearch, but a duplicate user has not been created.
The Community username is actually your FamilySearch contact name.
Your Community email is your FamilySearch email.
Further, a contact name is required to create a FamilySearch account and a guest cannot sign into Community unless an email address is associated with the FamilySearch account.
If you don't like your Community username, you can change it by changing your contact name in your FamilySearch account settings.
Clear as mud, right?? 😉

It's not merely a user name issue. Something crazy is going on. I helped create the Virtual Genealogy Consultations group on the old Community platform. When I signed in to the new platform with my usual FS credentials, suddenly I wasn't a part of the group I helped create, but kori.robbins1.5579482079625415E12 was. My colleagues reinstated me as a leader of the group under my other user name, Kori Robbins. You can see both of "me" in the list of leaders below (#5 and #7). I know both of them are me because this is a private group that we created at the Family History Library for those who help with virtual genealogy consultations. We know who all those people are so it's not another random Kori Robbins. It's me.
User kori.robbins1.5579482079625415E12 is in all my old groups, but user Kori Robbins (which is the one I am when I log in) is not. I can't log on as kori.robbins1.5579482079625415E12, only as Kori Robbins. Help, please!

Hmm. . .yes, I see the problem, but someone else with more experience in the Virtual Genealogy Community group is going to have to address the matter. What would happen if you just removed the earlier version of you? Would you lose the feeds you were connected with using that original username?

I don't know how to sign in as the earlier version of me. When I click on that user name it just acts like it's someone else. Any ideas who to contact? Thank you for your help.

Kori, let's give your question time to settle in here with the hope that someone else can chime in with a solution. If all else fails, we can forward your question to another team for review.

@Kori Robbins ( and, @MNuttall )
Kori
FYI
In this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum ...
I DO remember, 'seeing' a post, a while back now, on how one should use that UNUSUAL 'Style' format of "Name0000000000"; being, that 'Transferred' across, from the PREVIOUS version of the Forum, to re-establish oneself, in the NEW ("Vanilla") version Platform of the Forum.
Give me some time ...
As, it may take me some time ...
IF, I am lucky; THEN, I may be able to find that post.
If I recall, there was a specific way that such needed to be done ...
Stay tuned ...
Brett

I would escalate this now.
Kori has content here that has been detached from her FS identity.
