I am trying to reserve those of my father, who passed last August 1. The website still says the ordinances are not available for reservation. Please advise.

@William Carmen Brimley Could you please provide your fathers ID number and I will take a look.

Has your father's information been updated with his date of death? I'll be happy to take a look for you.

    Hello @William Carmen Brimley,

If a person has not been deceased for a year and a day, Family Tree shows the ordinance status of "Not Ready." Family Tree does not allow you to reserve ordinances for a person until one year and one day after the date of death. The calculation is based on Greenwich Mean Time, not local time zones.

You cannot reserve the ordinances until the waiting period is complete. If this ordinance status displays in error, it usually means that Family Tree lacks the correct death date.

You can find more information on this in the Help Center (small question mark at the top right of the page) and search for: The ordinances for a recently deceased individual are listed as "Not Ready".

    Best wishes!
