Correction to Temple Dates Mary Crossley LC58-GJW
28 July 2021
Please forgive me if this request is unnecessary.
Backstory: About 17 July 2021, I posted:
The initiatory and endowment dates for Mary Crossley (1800-1867), PID LC58-GJW, are listed incorrectly in FamilySearch.
The correct information was found in the Endowments for the Dead, Salt Lake Temple FHL film no. 184084,
18 January 1894, p. 416, line 14682:
Mary Crossley, b. Feb 1800, Ashton, Lancaster, Eng.,
d. 8 Feb 1867, baptized "about 1857 In Church", proxy Selina C. Longmore, daughter
Question 1. From this temple source, can the baptism date to changed so that it reflects that she was baptized 1857 during her life, rather than a repeated proxy baptism in 1978? As time allows, I will search for the original baptism date in the membership records of the British Mission.
Question 2. Please change the Initiatory and Endowment dates to: 18 January 1894, the actual date, instead of 1 January 1894. For the record, no endowments where performed on. New Year's Day, 1 January 1894, in the Salt Lake Temple.
After I posted the original question, I received a response from Elder Lim, who said he was going to check with his supervisor. I followed up with Elder Lim, Elder Lim, Senior Service Missionary, Asia Pacific (APAC) FamilySearch Support Team, who said the endowment/initiatory dates had been corrected--they have not. Elder Lim suggested I repost the question.
Please advise. Is this question still being considered? Why has it been removed My Discussions?
Thanks in advance.
