I just finished indexing US New York, Erie to Land Records Gr [MS1R-J4B] and it would not let me release the batch. There were only 26 to index out of the 70. This has happened to me before and the batch needs released before I get another of this type of batch. I am not new to indexing or arbrating. I have been indexing since 2011. Please tell me what to do. I hate sending the batch back when someone else may get the same thing.

Hi Renee. That project provides each batch with 70 empty/blank entries (per image) in case you might need them. If you don’t need then all, as in your case, just use the trashcan icon (middle of the toolbar) to remove the extras. Choose the trashcan option “all blank entries” and click Delete. Those extra blank entries will disappear, and you should be able to proceed.

I did use the trash can and it still wouldn’t let me release the batch. So I just sent the batch back. This has happened with several batches.

I got and still get “Access Restricted” when I tried to open your batch. Maybe one of the Mods can open it and have a look. When you used the trashcan did it do its job and leave you with only the 26 Entries you needed?

No, I tried it by going to the 70 and hit trash can to go to 69 and it wouldn't release. I also tried from the 26 to release with the trash can and it wouldn't release. That is why I sent you the information to see you could help me. I have sent the batch back. I will order a new one if there is one available form the same batch and see if it does the same thing.

OK. Give it a try, and let us know how it goes. If you have the same problem, immediately please share your batch code as you did above, and maybe someone will be able to look at it and see what's going on.

They cannot be deleted as blank entries because the year field has been autofilled in all the entries. Delete that year in the extra batches and you will be able to delete all the blank entries. You can do this easily by blanking the year in entry 26 then copy that blank into all the remaining fields with alt+shift+d. At that point you should be able to submit the batch.

I thought I deleted the year entries. If so I'm sorry I bothered you.
