Hints

Whenever I get a hint and I fill in the place for birth (for example), it shows that it's a standardized place, but when I go to the actual details for that person, it shows an exclamation point because the birthplace is not standardized. Could the people who work on programming fix that please, so that I don't have to enter everything twice?

Thank you

Garnet

    @Garnet Kutterer,

    In order to help you with the issue for the wish the engineers, about fixing the problem of standardization of place, so you do not have to add it twice, from the hint, as well as from the details page, after adding the hint, we will need some additional information.

    We will be sending you a private email, asking for the information needed, in order to forward it to the correct department.

    We look forward to helping you with this standardization problem.

    This is a fairly well know bug in the program that has been reported here several times by multiple people. I'm sure the programmers are fully aware of it. I'm sure that in time they will be able to track down the problem in the routine and get it fixed.

    @Mark McLemore

    This is a great example of how confusing it is to know where to post such queries.

    Should this issue have been posted here in "Q and A" (where a moderator has offered to "forward it to the correct department"), or in "Ideas", from where we have been previously advised the engineers can be made aware of such problems?
