Indexing issue: Early Settlers of Western New York <-> Idaho Births and Christenings, 1856-1965
Some attachable records come up as being from "Idaho Births and Christenings, 1856-1965" but are actually from the collection "Early Settlers of Western New York: Their Ancestors and Descendants", and event places are also off, such as a Christening in the "Dutch Reformed Church of New Amsterdam" is presented as having taken place in "Blackfoot, Bingham, Idaho".
This example: I'm getting a record hint for Jan Corszen, as mentioned in the record of Janneken Corszen, Idaho Births and Christenings, 1856-1965, Christening Place: Blackfoot, Bingham, Idaho, United States, but check out the image that comes up when "View the original document" is selected.
Another note: looks like this issue has been around a good while: looking at the Sources for Jan Corssen LC8L-XB7, I see some from "Idaho Births and Christenings, 1856-1965" that were created in 2014 (I'm assuming that a change in the indexing for a database wouldn't change the title of a source once attached to a profile.)
**PLEASE READ** A third note: Looking again, the issue with this database runs even deeper: after image #388 of 534, you have on the same roll dozens and dozens of miscellaneous photocopies, letters, homemade genealogies, family group sheets, and other extraneous docs that shouldn't be together with "Early Settlers of Western New York: Their Ancestors and Descendants", some of which actually do have to do with Idaho. Breaking this up would be a months-long project but needs to happen, sorry. And any connections to these other materials as reliable sources that can be attached to profiles should be removed.
Please consider that the credibility of FS as a worthwhile tool to find reliable sources is undermined by situations like this.
