I am looking to receive the baptism and confirmation dates for my husbands aunt Beverly. We know she was baptized and confirmed a member as a child. She has not been heard from for almost 50 years, until her daughter Sarah reached out to us through Family search.

We have been informed that we either need 1. A death certificate, 2. An obituary, 3. A picture of a gravestone or 4. A funeral program. Since there was no service for Beverly, their is no service program available. Beverly was cremated- so there is no picture of a gravestone. No death certificate has been obtained, and no obituary was posted.

I have since received an email from the cemetery stating where Beverly’s ashes are placed. Can this count as proof of death?

Yes, the cemetery information will be sufficient for proof of death. Your question will be forwarded to a specialty team for review and resolution. You may be contacted by that team through a private message in Community if they need to gather more information.
