Is there family history missionaries

I have a cousin who lives in Ashland Massachusetts. He is 70 years old. I am living in Crookston Minnesota. He is excited to work on familysearch.org (did some work), however does not do well with it, and becomes frustrated and quits unless someone is right there helping him. (face to face)

My question. Are there still family history missionaries assigned to help people like him? Temple and Family History Consultants are who we use here in Grand Forks North Dakota. And since there appears no church meetinghouse or FHC near Ashland, would there be someone who would help him?

He is not a member, however I am.

I could get on the phone with him, or use his Helper #, and go online.... long distance... however thought this would lessen his anxiety and yes, missionary work. (he has no strong religion at this time)...

He does love family history work, though, and I have tried to explain a little of why we do what we do with family history, however he needs more help in that area also.

Please advise...

When you click the question mark in a circle in the top right corner of Community or FamilySearch you will see "Contact us" at the bottom of the drop-down box. In Contact Us at the bottom you can use the link to find a Family History Center near you.

You can also teach your cousin how to post his/her questions here in the Community. Missionaries are indicated by "mod" next to the name and can answer the questions that are posted here.

    Best wishes!

    Hi Lenore Anderson,

You might be able to find some missionaries, or ward members, from the nearest ward, who would be willing to help him. Try going to Church of Jesus Christ. org and do a map search. You could find contact information there. The link below may be helpful.

    We hope this helps.
