I'm new to indexing and as i go along i realised some of the first ones i did were not correct some had duplicated pics with same information as previous one and i didn't delete them, is there a way to go back and fix them?

You can't go back and fix them, but after you submitted your indexed batch, someone "Reviewed" them and made corrections.

Hello @candiceWright5 thanks for your question. You may not be able to go back to the already indexed batch. There are reviewers who will review the indexed record and if there are any changes to be made, they will do that before the batch is published for viewing.

Hello, Candice, and Welcome to Indexing! You cannot retrieve a batch once it is submitted. No worries though since all batches are reviewed by another volunteer who hopefully catches any typing errors or other types of mistakes. Some batches can go through three reviews until two reviewers can agree that a batch is correctly indexed (or at least 80% correctly indexed). You may not have been wrong though to index those images. A DUPLICATE is the exact same photographic image of a previous image, not just a picture with the same information. Nothing is deleted by us when we indexed. Marking something No, No Extractable Data, or No, Duplicate Image in Step 1 just means that there was a reason not to index that image.

Here are links to more information on Duplicate Images and becoming a reviewer:

Best wishes! I hope you enjoy indexing!! P.S., I guess everyone was typing at the same time this morning!

Here's an indexing tutorial by Kathryn Grant of the BYU Family History Library that I highly recommend to new indexers:
