I am finding ancestors that I added to Family Search suddenly READ ONLY.

What is going on? How did this happen? How do I undo It?

For instance John Bishop Shockley K4LX-BV4 my aunt's husband is suddenly Read ONLY.

What can I do to add where he was buried?

Please clear temporary cookies at familysearch.org/cookies. This should resolve the temporary issue.

Temporary glitches including server hiccups and internet outages can cause trouble with a website as complex as FamilySearch. I also had everyone get a Read Only banner a couple of hours ago. Didn't have to do anything and everything was fine after an hour or so. I clear cookies for FamilySearch only about once a year or after the website has a major update and that just on general principles. Clearing cookies is really very rarely needed.
