"Read Only" designation of a person's Family Tree record
A person's Family Tree record that I have been actively working on the last few days suddenly was marked "Read Only". There are multiple source hints provided in the Research Help portion of the person's page.
Is the "Read Only" designation temporary? Might it have been triggered because of activity that I initiated on the record?
Thanks for any information.

Same thing with me; it seems everyone I look at is suddenly read only. I've never encountered Read only before. I hope it's just a glitch in the system. There seem to be a few others with the same problem.

I'm having the same problem. Is this a database flaw?

Just today I encountered this problem in making corrections to someone's record (a woman with a fairly common German name was assigned three different spouses and children all coexisting at the same time). All of a sudden her record was marked Read Only. All the corrections I made were verified by documented sources so I can't understand why this happened. It's a puzzlement.

It's actually worse than I thought! I've now discovered that the person's immediate family (and at least some spouses) have been similarly flagged as "Read Only".

I'm suddenly having this problem, all my recent family with a completed ordinance, and their whole lines are "read only", just in the last day or 2!

FWIW, I signed out of FamilySeaerch and when I signed back in, the "Read Only" flags were no longer there.
Certainly looks like it's a glitch--but a very frustrating and irksome one!

I'm glad I read the last comment because I've just found the same problem with trying to correct a name. I hope it goes away if I sign out and then go back in!!!!
