missing ordinance

James Mixson Bateman KN14-X45 has all of his temple ordinances recorded except his Endowment. I feel certain it was done in either 1997 or 1998 in the St. Louis Temple but there does not seem to be any record found. I think my husband did it but he is now deceased as well as all other of James's relatives. James was born in 1916;so does that mean this ordinance cannot be done until 2026 or could we somehow get permission for my son, his great nephew, do the Endowment ordinance now? How important is it for a deceased person to have the Endowment Ordinance done ? All the other ordinances have been completed.

I thought I had given this information before that you are asking for. James Mixson Bateman born 29 June 1916 in Glensboro, Ky and died 17 March 1994 in Kirbyville, Tx. My helper # is 98360. All of James' immediate relatives are deceased. I thought my now deceased husband of 5 years had done the Endowment in the St. Louis, Temple when he did the Initiatory in 1997 ; but no record has been found for that ordinance. My question now is how important is it for this Endowment to be done, since all other ordinances are completed?
