In my not-so-humble opinion, the best thing to do with FS's campaigns is to try to unsubscribe from them all, and ignore any that still manage to get through.

The problem with the particular campaign you're complaining about is that it confuses travel with immigration. This is a ubiquitous error on all genealogy sites, because all immigration involves travel, and there are very few actual immigration records available.

    Hello @EvelynWeidig.

As Julia mentions, the notification you received is one of the website's "discovery experiences."

"FamilySearch occasionally sends you an email to let you know about a particular discovery activity available to you on the website. Campaigns are posted to your account as “Notifications” so that you can refer to them later."

And, Julia is correct in that this particular activity is computer-generated via immigration/travel sources. You can explore the notification further by examining the records attached to your ancestor or you can ignore the message.
