Hi Tessie. As there are no duplicate records for your Uncle Dale it may be that the ward clerk has not updated the system to show his death. When a Church member dies, a ward or branch clerk updates the membership record. When the Church membership system receives this update, it updates Family Tree:

• If the member had an account, the membership system updates the record that the member had in his or her private space.
• If the member did not have an account, the membership system creates a new record in Family Tree for him or her.
