The index for my some of my ancestors are incorrect.
In searching for some of my ancestors, I noticed that they are incorrectly indexed to Hawkins County, Arizona in the 1840 US Census, not Hawkins County, Tennessee.
(NOTE THAT ARIZONA DID NOT ACHIEVE STATEHOOD UNTIL 1912.)

For example, the citation for Elijah Goins, Alexander Goins, and Vardemon Collins are noted as follows:

Conversely, the citation for Robert Collins, who is listed on the page before the above men (image 86 of 158), is noted as follows:
