The index for my some of my ancestors are incorrect.
In searching for some of my ancestors, I noticed that they are incorrectly indexed to Hawkins County, Arizona in the 1840 US Census, not Hawkins County, Tennessee.
(NOTE THAT ARIZONA DID NOT ACHIEVE STATEHOOD UNTIL 1912.)

For example, the citation for Elijah Goins, Alexander Goins, and Vardemon Collins are noted as follows:
"United States Census, 1840," database with images, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHYL-YXT : 2 March 2021), Elijah Gowin, Hawkins, Yavapai, Arizona, United States; citing p. 232, NARA microfilm publication , (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll ; FHL microfilm .
"United States Census, 1840," database with images, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHYL-YFN : 2 March 2021), Alexr Gowin, Hawkins, Yavapai, Arizona, United States; citing p. 232, NARA microfilm publication , (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll ; FHL microfilm .
"United States Census, 1840," database with images, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHYL-YXY : 2 March 2021), Vardy Collins, Hawkins, Yavapai, Arizona, United States; citing p. 232, NARA microfilm publication , (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll ; FHL microfilm .
*** It appears that many listed on the same page of the Hawkins County, Tennessee, 1940 US Census (image 87 of 158), are indexed incorrectly.

Conversely, the citation for Robert Collins, who is listed on the page before the above men (image 86 of 158), is noted as follows:
"United States Census, 1840," database with images, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHYL-YNC : 8 December 2020), Robert Collins, Hawkins, Tennessee, United States; citing p. 233, NARA microfilm publication , (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll ; FHL microfilm .

@BobbyGoins We can move these kinds of issues that impact so very many records to a team of specialists for correction. We will do that in this case. You could be contacted by a member of the team if they need more information.
