Marriage licenses/registers, etc for this project: US, Missouri—County Marriages, 1806–1969 [Part L][M9WR-VBP]. Bride lists grandmother as guardian, as both parents are dead. Do I enter grandmother's name in Mother field, as she is the guardian, or leave it blank because her mother is deceased?

Field help for Given Name and Surname of Bride's mother both state: "If the surname (given name) was not recorded or was written as a variation of the word "unknown," press Tab to skip this field."

The family researcher will be able to see this image and the added information so that information will not be lost.

@Ed Haynes Please leave the field blank. The rules in Indexing and in the research portion of FamilySearch are not the same.

I am not asking abt adding a grandmother to a family record. I am reviewing an Index batch. The Brides parents are deceased, but her grandmother is listed as her guardian. Should I leave the Bride's Mother's field blank, or add the grandmother's names as she is the guardian of the bride?

A guardian is not a a parent or adoptive parent. A guardian could even be a non-relative. I would leave it Blank for indexing purposes.
