I would like to do the temple work for Marie De Remon LYNK-QTC. The named was reserved 26 January 2018. The two years expired on 26 January 2020. The temples were not closed at that time and time officially expired, nevertheless the time was extended. This person has no e-mail for contact, so I had to go through Family Search to send a message. I also asked for relationship viewing. I have not had a response for either of these requests.

In the past, I have had such requests respected.

I am asking that the temple work for Marie De Remon be released to me, Cynthia H. Gale, Provo, Utah

    Hello Sister @Cynthia Hansen Gale

The Initiatory and Endowment ordinances for Marie De Remon were reserved 27 January 2018.

Ordinances that are reserved in Family Tree generally expire in 2 years. But expiration dates get extended automatically by 1 year when 1 or more of the reserved ordinances is completed within the original 2-year reservation.

The Baptism and Confirmation for Marie De Remon were completed 4 June 2019, so the expiration date would have been extended to 4 June 2020.

In April 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak and temple closures, temple ordinance expiration dates were suspended. The expiration dates are being extended by one day each day.

And so we arrive at the new expiration date in 2022.

Unfortunately we are unable release the ordinance reservations for Marie.

We can only suggest that you contact the reserver as you have already done. If the reserver does not respond and no progress has been made on the ordinances, then the family names will be released once the reservation date expires. At this time we do not know when the expiration date suspension will be finish.

Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with this answer.

In the past when I have had no response from the person who has reserved the ordinances and no direct e-mail address was available, Family Search had information enough to contact the person directly and intercede for me. In this case, I request that you contact Melissa Renae Witbeck. You have access to her direct contact information.

More can be done to assist. Please do so.

    Thank you.

We have sent a private message to Cynthia since she has been provided with our current Temple Policy in regard to ordinances we wish to do that someone else has reserved. Because she has been provided with this policy, we will close this discussion as there is nothing more that FamilySearch Support can do to be of assistance.
