Indexing land records

US, New York, Erie—Index to Land Records, Grantors, 1630–1975 [Part A] [MS15-LYC]


Some of the entries on these land records has a company for both the grantee and and grantor. if it doesn't have a person's name, do I put blank?

    No, you index the transaction with those companies as the Grantor and Grantee. Look at the second example in your Project Instructions - “How to Index a Typed Land Record.” The link to it is below:
