Family search had most of my details correct up to NOW!!!!!!! I just opened familysearch based on my Father and found he was not synchronised with family search which he was for quite dome time. one part said that I myself was not part of my tree. Come on Familysearch I think you are allowing too many novice researchers to change info. I am a well seasoned researcher even helped my local FamilySearch centre to start up. I was researching before computers!!!! I have not altered any of my info in my database so please correct Thank you

I assume you were looking at the FamilySearch FamilyTree.

The FamilySearch FamilyTree operates on a "open edit" "One World Tree" basis and this is unlikely to ever change. No-one owns any part of the tree and there is no thing as "my database" or "my tree". If you don't want to be involved with this then there are several other programs and websites that allow you to have a personal family tree that no-one else can edit.

Nevertheless, many users of the FamilyTree including myself believe there needs to be stricter rules to stop vandalism and incorrect edits. If you have any ideas about this we'd be very interested in hearing them.
